Floor slab perimeter insulation -2

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about floor slab perimeter insulation and our regulatory requirements. In that post I mentioned a few points to ponder.

  1. Insulating to 300mm below ground level is the requirement, but what about the gap between the ground and the bottom of the wall?
  2. Where does the wall insulation terminate?
  3. Is the floor insulated?
  4. How and where is the floor insulated?
  5. Where are the control layers?

To assist with your pondering over these points, check out this article from Green Building Advisor about “Getting Slab-edge Insulation Right.”
